Re-Define the "Secretary-Treasurer" and "Corresponding Secretary" names and
duties, and add "Webmaster" position...

2/5/10 REVISION: This proposal is now to replace the "Road Captain" with the "Webmaster" position. The "Road Captain"
posistion may assigned by the club or board, as a non-officer position, when needed.



TREASURER:   [formerly "Secretary-Treasurer"]

        The duties of the Treasurer shall be:

1. To collect dues.
2. To collect all other money due the club.
3. To make payments from the club funds only when so ordered by the club.
4. To give a report of the financial status of the club at least once a month.
5. To sign all checks drawn on the club bank account.
           

SECRETARY:   [formerly "
Corresponding Secretary"]

        The Secretary's duties shall be:

1. To receive and read to the members all mail communications and to attend to all club mail correspondence and to perform all other duties as may be required.
2. To keep a record of the proceedings of the Board of Directors and of the meetings of the general membership of the club.
3. Maintain membership application and renewal forms and a list of the names and phsyical address members.


WEBMASTER:

       The duties of the Webmaster shall be:

1. Maintain a web hosting account and a regularly updated club website with news, events and information concerning the club.
2. Maintain an email list of members and
a public email address for the club and monitor that email address, daily if possible, and respond to electronic communication and inquiries from within the club and outside the club on a timely basis.
3. Work with the
Secretary to maintain a member list, with members physical addresses, in an electronic form, to be used for printed physical mailings to the club if/when necessary and/or for printing annual membership cards.
4. Facilitate communication between club members where possible, while protecting the privacy of club members to the greatest extent possible, while also promoting the good image and activities of the club.
5. Carry out these duties in an impartial, unbiased and unprejudiced way, free from any influence of parties or groups within the club or people, vendors or organizations outside the club.
